Today's Memories

Brooklyn Bridge, 1883

Did you know that the Brooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States? Designed by German immigrant John Augustus Roebling.

A picture of this bridge hangs on one of our walls at home. It's a puzzle that we put together when we lived in NYC. It survived the move to Europe all in one piece. Shows the Twin Towers as well. Well, I wanted to show our girls this bridge because it holds some memories. This is the bridge that my husband made me walk across in order to get married in City Hall. It was February. Windy! Freezing! I was not a happy camper, but married him nevertheless.

I took few pictures of the bridge, but the weather was oh so disappointing!!!
