Humayun’s Tomb Delhi
As the name suggests, Humayun's tomb is the final resting place of the 2nd Mughal Emperor Humayun. Built in 1570, it inspired several major Mughal architectural innovations, culminating in the construction of the Taj Mahal.
Designed by a Persian architect, it was the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent. The tomb was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993.
