Friends for dinner

Did some house cleaning this morning. Lorna & Megan arrived after 2 and we went for a 5 mile walk. The walk was longer than planned, we got a bit wetter than planned & we had more mud on our shoes than planned, but thoroughly enjoyed it.

After 5 Becky & Karen arrived and we had a wonderful meal of 2 flattis - 1 hotter than the other, braised oxtail, with samp, home made bread & slaphakskeentjies. We had Becky's banoffi pie & Karen's lemon meringue pie for dessert. We unfortunately did not have space for Megan's cake. She decorated it to celebrate our British passports. Will have to have it for breakfast then.

We introduced our guests to katembe's, samp and slaphakskeentjies. It seemed as if they liked & survived it.
