You'll Eat When I Say So!

Haven't taken as many bird pictures lately, but they came flocking in when I put out the food today and this shot is so typical of our White-Wing Doves.  No bird eats on that rail without their permission, which is why this woodpecker is waiting in that submissive posture.  In the next few frames, the dove turned his back on the woodpecker, which gave.  her permission to eat what she could get to.  Your White-Wings might not behave that way, but ours are certainly territorial!
