Today K rescued a scruffy-muffin called Toffie. She found him wandering the street outside the Little House, looking quite lost and somewhat forlorn as he dashed about with his lead trailing after him. He had somehow come untied from outside a shop in the high street, and had taken to the open road...only to remember, too late, that although he was a dog who dreamed of adventures he was also a dog who liked a comfy sofa and a cosy fire to snooze in front of. Toffie’s people were so relieved and grateful to have him home in one piece that they left a bottle of something nice and a copy of his mistresses book on our doorstep! What a sweet gesture...the world is full of kind and thoughtful people, and one often finds them in the most unexpected of places - in this case at the other end of a scruffy-muffins lead.
In other news - The Greatest Showman is fabulous. I’m guessing the story is far far from the truth. But sometimes a dash of escapism and musical-make-believe is just what a girl needs!
Life is full of twinkly lights...(and rain, there’s quite a lot of RAIN!) x
