A slice of Lesley's life

How to approach the 2nd Jan

Believe it or not this is her chilling out pose. I suspect the stresses of 2017 have caused her to reassess her life approach and spend more time meditating in her supine pose. Actually she would prefer her head back and some peace and quiet. This was her face when I turned up with a camera.

I wonder if a lot of folks may have been trying to do the same as Albi as everywhere was very quiet today. Tomorrow will be like someone turning up with a camera in their face.

I have felt very new yeary and have quite enjoyed creating some sanity and order from the mayhem and chaos. I say some, I’ve not gone mad and have kept to a very sensible pace. I’ve reinstated my 2017 resolution to read everyday. It worked reasonably well all year, though there were some definite slippage periods. And I risked starting a new 30 day yoga programme. Last time I didn’t get into double figures before getting ill for 2 months so I’m gambling there isn’t a correlation. I’ve also bought new notebooks which makes me beyond happy. I have celebrated with many lists.

Jackson’s off until Monday which is a good job as he woke up stuffed with cold and a sore throat. Anna had a bit of a transition day with a piece of homework to be done before returning to school tomorrow and the start of her ballet and tap classes which are now longer as this is exam term. At least it should make tomorrow less of a shock.

Meanwhile Carlos survived his return to the coal face.

2018 is up and running. As usual on the 2nd, never the 1st which should probably be recategorised as 31b December.
