The Ne'rday Walk...
Backblip
So. Just like that it's 2018.
We had a great start to the New Year.
Alan and Ally went out on Hogmanay to the Carnival at the SECC in Glasgow (see extras) before coming home, getting the disco lights and music going in Alan's sitting room and Alan being up and partying for the first time to bring in the New Year. I know I keep saying this, but it really is something we couldn't even have dreamed about this time last year with double pneumonia just about to hit him after his surgery and chicken pox. Knowing he is happy and living his life is all we want and last night perfectly highlighted how far he's come.
We had a great night too. I've lost count of the number of years Ele, Kenny, Agnes and Adrian have been coming to ours on Hogmanay and bringing in the New Year. Food and fun play a big part and there's always a game or two. This year Call My Bluff (funnier than it sounds) and Rudolph Hoopla (see extras for an action shot! :-) We finally called it a night just before 3.00am.
After a leisurely lie in, we all enjoyed a full Scottish breakfast then they rest of them went for their traditional Ne'rday Walk to Gleneagles and back, this year with Lola added into the mix.
Back for coffee and cake before Agnes and Adrian headed off and we prepared for the arrival of Andrew, Nikki, Jennifer and Avis.
Another great night with traditional steak pie for dinner and fun with Jennifer's Instapix camera.
Another late but happy night.
