(Backblip) A last hurrah
These plants are all over the place here. I have identified them as American Agave, a native of Mexico naturalised here. The flower stems are impressive, towering high above we puny Humans. I enjoy their architecture.
Sadly, it seems that the American Agave is quite short-lived and flowers only towards the end of its life. They must look very impressive in bloom but I like them dessicated like this.
