We headed slowly into the New Year; a bacon sandwich and coffee and then a reviving stroll about the harbour; the non breakwater side. Pleasant enough day; enough room for some active boys to charge around untamed. 

Home for lunch and an afternoon excursion to town to see her; there was a brief thought that she might come to me but her lad went AWOL; her lass didn't fancy it and so in the end the mountain went to Mohammed. We dived up in a CCC vehicle and - it went well! 

Home for roast chicken and the first bramble and apple crumble of the year and some easy TV watching ensued.
