Blooming

I bought these all closed up the week of Xmas and look at them now! I loved the one in my Xmas bouquet so when I saw these in Waitrose I just had to buy them! Less blousey than the usual ones you see and they are a long-lasting delight! The hen at the back is a dish cloth from MariB - far too pretty to wash dishes with so it is  decorating my shelf above the sink instead!
I'm thinking my stay off wheat resolution is a good one as oh boy my digestive system and therefore panic was bad most of the day. I had gone Chinese for New Year's Eve as I couldn't find sushi. Sticky rice, sesame prawn toasts, dumplings and veg rolls - plus a chocolate pud with marmalade ice-cream. Maybe it was coincidental but I'm taking no risks in future!
I did a walking meditation round the house once I peeled myself off the bathroom floor - taking down Xmas decs as I went! They look so out of place once the event is over. The Xmas tree will stay until Twelfth Night as it does look so good in the evenings! Once it is down I will cut it up and spread it around the base of the allotment blueberries as they do like an acidic soil!
I'm pleased to report Amy made it into the New Year - she even had a wander around my backyard before it started to rain! Every time I syringe water down her beak I massage her chest as she is holding air there - so she is still not right but is being quite noisy so a good sign!
