Nothing like your own bed

Early start today when I woke up at the equivalent of 3.30am on the flight from Nairobi to Amsterdam. Managed to get a few hours sleep in during the flight though.

Landed in Amsterdam and said goodbye to John & Alison as they had an earlier flight back to London than us.

Managed to get the connecting flight from Amsterdam to Edinburgh with no issues and the bags arrived as well. Always an amazement when the bags arrive having been checked in Nairobi and taken away by hand into what looked like a loading bay, gone via Amsterdam and finally arrived in Edinburgh.

After a brief shopping trip to fill the fridge back up we then spent the rest of the day catching up on the Japan F1 qualifying and race then the Korean qualifying before starting on Strictly. Sure signs that winter and the dark nights are just around the corner when Strictly starts again on TV.

Despite having good bed on holiday there is nothing like getting back home to your own bed for a good nights sleep. Finally went to bed at 10pm when I couldn't keep my eyes open any more.
