King Alfred

A later start today due to the previous nights celebrations and out to spend the day enjoying time together. We went to see a small Jewellery exhibition at Hillier's Arboretum, some of the pieces were gorgeous.

After driving back to Winchester and a quick lunch we walked to the City Mill where RF volunteers so that she could wish one of the other volunteers a happy birthday. There were some old buses on the streets, a traditional New Year's Day event in which the old Winchester buses take over the modern routes. (See extra)

We then went looking for storage boxes before walking 2 reluctant dogs and cooking a delicious Turkey curry.

A nice, gentle start to 2018.
