Kelpies

Tonight we went along to the Fire and Light show that is currently on-going within The Helix in Falkirk. The light show was a sort of similar to that which has occurred at the Botanic Gardens over the last couple of years. However, this was along the dark paths of the helix park. The culmination of the show was at the Kelpies themselves with people with various implements that were ablaze. Much spinning of said devices occurred which was impressive to the children that were present.

There were also large burning flames that appeared to be remotely controlled to give big pyres of flame. These appeared to go off at random and generated more noise than flame. It also spoiled getting any sort of nice image of the kelpies as they flooded the sensor just as I snapped a blip.

The walk back had other entertainment, with participants able to press buttons to set off more flames, or klaxons depending on the button pressed. 

In all it was quite enjoyable, but not something we'd rush back to attend next year - especially if it was any colder!q
