Anticipation!

Despite a late night celebrating New Year we were all up for a 6 mile walk out near Reeth by some leadmines originating in Roman times. About 2000 people worked in this desolated place in the Victorian age. The wind was bitter but we got round until the last 15 minutes before the really heavy rain started. I discovered that my Paramo jacket is no longer waterproof so I’ll need to see to that before skiing next week. (If we get out - the forecast is snow and poor visibility).

When we got back we all had a glass of ginger wine and cake, before a hot shower.

Mike is cooking dinner and here is Sheila looking at the margaritas she’s just prepared for us. Cheers and Happy New Year!
