Late walk

Visited No 2 son for a meal.  Dogs were restless so a quick muddy walk was called for.
One of the dogs went swimming and tried to go against the fast flowing current.  Soon learnt it was not a good idea.

Local corner shop didn't open on time today for the papers so I went home and got the car and drove to the next estate.  On the way I offered a lift to a couple of people who had been waiting in vain outside our shop.  A pleasant Irishman took me up on my offer.  He told me he had been over celebrating (which was obvious) and it turned out he didn't need a paper but 3 bottles of Rose wine for a house party he was going to!  He thanked me profusely for the lift!!!
