Early morning light on 1st Jan 2018

It would have been very easy to have a long lie this morning but the weather was fair and I felt in need of a walk.

I don't normally feed the birds up at the loch but I took some bird food with me this morning.  Only two greylag geese around and they will eat from the palm of your hand. The gulls hovered overhead, waiting .... today they waited in vain. The ducks like the seeds to be scattered on the ground where they quickly scoop them up.

Up at the far end of the loch the sun was casting a golden shadow over the water and I was the only one there to enjoy it.
