Bright start to the day.
Since rain was forecast from noon or so we headed out about 10am and went to Westport beach to have a long walk along towards Machrihanish. The tide was well in so there was less sand than usual to walk on. The waves were still spectacular despite the wind having dropped to a moderate breeze.
By going early we had the beach very nearly to ourselves and avoided the rain which arrived in Campbeltown when we were sitting down to lunch :-)
