Into The Hills

Lovely stagger up Mt Vic this morning after a really enjoyable evening at the New Year celebrations harbourside. Great band and all the trimmings but The Boss says that we are not going to show fireworks and stuff as he is sure you all know what that looks like. 
There was some very serious fireworks inspired incidents in NZ last night so with a bit of luck and a different government we might get public access banned which is an option that a huge majority of NZ's (and dogs) support but the previous government lacked the moral courage. Fireworks and alcohol really don't mix.
A lovely discovery this morning was that one of our favourite coffee joints was open and bouncing.

Nice day in Wellington and walking the mount is always a fun thing with a great choice of the ups and downs. 

Wellington is full of charming older houses many of which have been restored with love… The extra is one of them. The Boss loved the signage on the stairs.
