A fine way to spend the last day of 2017 - fishing off the rocks at Ruckle Park. The bucket is upside down so I assume they hadn't caught anything.
A really nice day, a mix of sun and cloud and quite a cold wind.  We had an invigorating walk in the park and even sat on a sheltered bench for quite awhile, warm in the sun and enjoying the view across to some of the other islands.
No big plans for New Year's Eve.  I've made lasagne for supper and tried a new recipe - olive shortbread.  I haven't had a savoury shortbread before but it smells delicious.  We'll enjoy a wine that our neighbour brought back from France to thank us for keeping an eye on his house and hopefully manage to stay awake to watch the ball drop at midnight!
