Alert!

The thunderstorms arrived this afternoon as expected - my neighbour and I enjoyed a cuppa on the porch watching the rain fall and the lightening flashing here and there...it was still quite warm so as long as we didn't get hit by blowing rain it was quite pleasant.
Hubby came out at one point and right then all our phones went off - apparantly the new carrier we got (which my neighbour just switched to as well) has an Emergency Alert - so we all got this message - yikes! Needless to say, we grabbed our tray and took our tea indoors :0)

We did also check the radar, but we were just a little behind the line where tornado's would be forming (as it happens none did thankfully)...but glad to know we have this extra warning system. Funny I had been thinking of blipping the weather radio in the house with the storms today.
