Japanese Tea Ceremony

Spent sometime this evening at a tea house on the University Campus. Our host was an 87 year old ex University administrator. (He had retired the year before). He explained the intricacies of the tea making and all the utensils. We all had a small cake and green tea after much bowing and knee creaking to get down on the floor. I had to sit flat as my knees wouldn't take it at all. Loved the tea.
