Poverty Safari

Looking forward to reading this book recommended by my friend. Given my life experience and educational experiences I’m influenced greatly by the work of Paulo Freire and Antonio Gramsci. She tells me it’ll be a great read for me. I’m looking forward to it but often it also winds me up when I am reminded about huge social inequalities and the impact of that on people’s opportunities and of course their health. Given the lens through which I see the world it’s no surprise it also features in my academic work.
