Hurrah - happy birthday

Torran Leo Gray born today at 9.00am, 7lbs 13.5oz. Born at home in the birth pool.

Everyone is great, home births are the way forward, excellent, the midwives were great (two midwives and 2 students) and now we are just a family at home basking in the wonder.

Gilian was great, all very calm, just gas and air - the wee man is chilling at home, Fins is at nursery.

The funniest bit was when the bottle of gas and air ran out ... classic but not too frosty, Geeb soon ensured all midwives were scurring round to connect the next cylinder

The name is reference to the fearsome Torran Rocks, which lie between the Ross of Mull and Colonsay ... maybe we should call him the rock ...
