It took me by surprise

when this little fellow literally walked right in front of me while I was down the garden this afternoon.  He disappeared under the hostas and other low growing plants and by the time I got my camera and searched where I had last seen him, he was nowhere to be seen.  A few minutes later I caught sight of  the neighbour's kitten further down the garden jumping up and down as though it had seen a ghost. This little chap was in a hurry to get somewhere and wasn't about to stop for anyone.  He had travelled about 15 metres in a very short time and disappeared into the bush at the bottom of the garden where he would be quite safe, provided he stopped there that is.
