Closing of the sunny porch Timeshare.

We have two feline Solstices in my household each year. It's not really an astonomical event but it is related to weather. In the Fall this significant event coincides with heating the place and closing off the small bedroom window access to the porch.
Then in the Spring, when the heating goes off , the window is opened once again offering free range access with more napping and seating choices galore. Quite the all-inclusive kitty resort.
Everything in life is cyclical. I knew it was time to close the porch and turn on the heating today since two little cat bodies pushed up against me for warmth the last couple of nights while I was sleeping soundly! Of course they were right. I looked at the thermostat this morning and it was a balmy 47 degrees to take a shower and wash my hair. Brrrr! Yes, I think I certainly fell in love with Iceland.
