Last book of the year

I read this book today. I think it is aimed at young people but like all good kids books is also great for older folk like me.

It's a delightful story written in the eyes of a ten/ eleven year old girl who escaped from London in the Second World War.

For New Year's Eve we had to change our plans due to sick kids and are now having a bbq at home with a friend.
