On the Fern Walk, Peel Forest
Another day, another bush walk - surprisingly after yesterday’s efforts my knees were up to a jaunt through the forest but at least this time it was mostly flat, with no slippery stream boulders to contend with.
We heard a good amount of birds on our walk today, and were able to spot fantails, brown creepers and this silvereye, as well as hearing some more rifleman up in the canopy.
Fittingly on the fern walk, this silvereye decided to frame himself under one of the many species of tree fern along the path (check the extras for some more of the greenery, as well as the lovely morning light on the mountain).
Happy New Year everyone, I hope to share more with you over the course of 2018.
