East Head
Found this great bit of wood on the shoreline. Wish I'd carried it back with me now.
I headed out via a bit more investigations on the holy well front and then walked down the bank which was busy but lost everyone once down at the harbour. Still struggling with my shorebird identifications but they were clearly working off the festive period excesses of lugworms etc by racing each other down the channel and back and the marsh harrier put in an appearance over the wetland full of geese and lapwing.
Once back my sister and her friend came over from Norwich and we went down to catch the late afternoon light (and fierce winds) on Brancaster beach before retreating to The Ship.
