Causeway

Along with the rest of our group from the Youth Hostel, we went along to Bamburgh Castle this morning. There are so many of us though it was hard to all stick together.

Once we’d finished going round the castle, we broke away from the main group. They all went to the beach while we drove over the causeway to Holy Island. We last went there about 5 years ago with Grannie & Grandpa. Although Ethan doesn’t remember going, he has been learning a bit about Lindisfarne at school recently through his Viking class topic, so we thought it would be interesting (and educational!) for him.

Along with another 2 of the families we were in cooking duty this evening. It was Italian night - I had made a veggie pasta sauce which I’d brought down with me and the others made spaghetti bolognaise & carbonara. It seemed to go well!
