Amaryllis

When I opened this prezzie on Christmas Day, the little shoot was bent over, and very pale yellow. Planted it straight away, and it's instantly shot up, straightened and greened with photosynthesis. Isn't nature wonderful! It's going to be lovely watching it develop.

On the window sill are two little friends to watch it, too: Little Miss Bee that our daughter brought back from Munich Christmas market some years ago, and an "Elwetritsche" that lovely blipper Elwetritsche gave me when we met in Neustadt a few years ago. Both treasured gifts!
