From one to thousands!!!

Yesterday's blip was a single soggy starling, but there were tens of thousands (an estimate) over Whisby Nature Park at about 4pm today.

We took Amber for a walk round the lake and as we were returning to the Centre the starling started gather above us. I've never seen a murmuration in real life before and this one grew over the space of 15-20 minutes. A bit hard to take with all the trees. This shot was taken from the car park, a more open space. 

I wasn't sure what settings to use on the camera to capture this and how long it would last, so stuck it on auto and trusted to luck.
