Sisters...

Up not too early, and heading south by about 10. At Cambridge we dropped off the dog, and continued to Hoddesdon for the Howard family Christmas get together at mum and dads. Arriving at 1.15 we were shortly joined by Manda and family.

Mum had cooked a big dinner and we all fitted around the table. However, no ones arm was long enough to get a photo with all of us, so I chose this one of Manda and I because we are both laughing naturally, rather than posing for a photo.

We have played games, exchanged small gifts and eaten a big dinner. After dinner as it was starting to get dark, we did a quick sweep in the back garden with my metal detector. The biggest problem with this hobby is getting permission on people’s land to detect. So a garden is a good place to start. We got excited as the beeping in one spot was quite loud and constant. If I can manage to add an extra you will get to see our first metal detecting discovery.

Now it’s dark we are back inside and back on the board games. A nice family day :)
