We drove down to Hastings with my S-I-L this morning. It was cool with the odd drizzly squall so fish and chips on the beach was out. We are them instead in a restaurant overlooking the marina (see extra). The place was teeming with birds and there were lots of swallows with nests in the mangroves. There were 2 juveniles sitting on the fence near where we were standing. As I was photographing one of them a parent bird swooped in and deposited some food in its beak. some people walking by scared them off but the 2nd baby still got its feed - in mid air. Pretty amazing, really.
Went to see the production of Aladdin in the evening with my sister and niece. It was fabulous- go and see it if you get the chance.
