Dunedin

A good day in Dunedin, starting with the First Settlers Museum, then the extensive Botanic Gardens. I knew that there is a strong Scottish influence in Dunedin, but I hadn’t appreciate just how pervasive it is. It is difficult for me to think myself into the mindset of those early settlers, leaving behind their own country, but then renaming their new country with the same place names and customs.
