Tree of light
A busy day at school today.
We spent the morning talking through each others work in front of the group. The range of weaving is great and its just so amazing to see how everyone has done something completely different even though we were using the same techniques.
This afternoon we were introduced to our next project brief. I can't wait to get home and get started as I've got a good idea for it and looking forward to developing it. We then got let loose on the rooms in the weave shed. The weave shed is full of a range of looms and lots of yarn. We're doing rya, Danish medallions and theo moorman weaves this weekend and its really nice doing techniques that require direct weaving with the yarn.
A quick pint and tea this evening before heading to centenary square in the centre of Bradford. There's a light installation on at the moment and it was great to see the light trees and flowers as well as e fountains all lit up. What was also really nice was to see lots of families and people wandering about enjoying it, as Bradford can be a bit intimidating in the evening.
Quiet night in and really wish I could get the photos off my dslr onto my iPad to play with.
