Laid to rest

It's been a complex day emotionally.

My grandson and I had great fun this morning in the first real snow of winter throwing snowballs for Maisy to catch. We arrived home to a message from friends saying that Maisy's mum had passed away following a long illness. She was a lovely and loyal dog.

This afternoon we finally laid to rest my grandson's grandmother who died suddenly recently. She leaves a huge hole in her family's hearts and will be greatly missed by her only daughter and grandson. The photo is a recent one of her being photobombed by our grandson on whom she doted.

Hubby headed out to Newcastle just after dark and took some absolutely stunning photos. I'm hugely proud of his skills and no doubt @howardgalley will post one of them soon.

And finally, this evening, we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary with a drink and a curry with our close family.
