View from the manse (Day 965)

It was unusually cold this morning and before the morning wander up the hill with the woofers I had to clear ice and snow from the windscreen of the van. Sigyn was unimpressed at the delay to her schedule. The track up to the carpark was a bit slippery, but I surprised myself by getting the van up it. The ground was frozen hard and there was some snow lying which the dogs had fun chasing around in.
It wasn't long before  my  beautiful wife returned home from her overnight shift at work, and there was a bit of time for a catchup over coffee before I had to trundle along to the wilds of Evie to look at a job. I am pretty sure that it was a waste of time.
On the way home I dropped in to see Leanne and Douglas to collect my sack barrow which I had left when delivering the big carved stone. I got involved in helping moving the stone, so it wasn't a completely wasted journey.
After lunch HV and I headed to Aikerness where the dogs ran around on snowy sand and swam around in the sea. It was lovely in the winter sunshine with hardly a breath of wind.
Later I headed to look at a shower which isn't working at the Stenness manse and grabbed a quick snap of the view.
Extra shot today of the view from the hill as the woofers and I started out on our walk.
There are rumours of fish and chips for dinner tonight....
