Snow magnet

Well, I’ve certainly seen snow this year.

The first thirty miles back from Ossett in Yorkshire was on the M1 with snowflakes as big as my hand. The “fast lane” was still snow laden but we all went carefully. Down the slope towards Barnsley it eased and became driving rain (well sleet) with crazy lorries and overconfident 4x4s - as far as Rotherham.

From then on it was rain, and above freezing. From Nottingham it was fairly good visibility, but the Trent was full.......and in Staffordshire there was even a tiny bit of blue(ish) sky.

It was all worth it.

Seeing the three little Yorkshire great-nieces was simply wonderful.
