Oh dear...
...what have I done?
Welcome to Jim!
The O. family adopted him from a rescue home today. Or rather myself and Miss O. bought him home having woken up this morning with no plans to adopt a dog today!
We've spent the afternoon persuading Mr. O. that this is a good idea, but Jim has already managed to wind him round his little curly tail.
He was meant to be ours (even though Mr. O. thinks I'm being fanciful). I saw him on the dog rescue web site last week (for which I blame my good friend Ms S!), but when I rang up I was told he had already been homed. That's OK. I'm prepared to take my time and find just the right dog and get everything prepared, the house ready, and read up on dog care...
I woke up this morning and thought I'd just go to the Dog rescue place and meet the owners, have a look around and get familiar with the concept. When I walked into the kennels, who should be looking at me from his cage but Jim - the dog I had enquired about last week! Karma!
So tonight, Jim is happily exploring his new home, having got a new bed, collar, lead, car seat belt, dog treats, and chew. I think he's going to be a happy addition to our family (and the subject of many blips - if I can get him to stay still long enough!)
