Ladle for Sugar

'L' is for Ladle! ;-)

This is our favourite sugar ladle that accidentally stayed behind in Zambia when we moved back here in April 2009, eisch, we battled to get another one like this for many months, we just simply could not find anything we liked, and then we decided to contact the people who moved into our house in Ndola after we left. They found it and sent it back to us with a friend who still worked there then, but his family was here.

Today was the day I got knocked out completely by the chemotherapy! I thought I was going to have the courage to tell you all about it, but now, 2 weeks later, I realise I'd rather not try to remeber how horrifying it was, I must still go back for 5 more treatments and I think it's best not to remember all of it!! ;-(

I can tell you that my whole body was in pain, I had cold fever which lasted for more than 24 hours, had to cover even my head under blankets, while I was sweating like a horse, and my heart was too tired to even try to di it's job properly.

On Saturday I thought I understand why patients are reluctant to go back, by Sunday I thought I just can't go back, but now, 2 weeks later, I realise: Chemo can't kill me, cancer can!! I WILL go back 5 more times! ;-)

Thank the Good Lord it's behind me, 1 down, 5 to go!
