Shoveller's Feeding
We needed to visit Old Moor RSPB reserve today to buy more bird food and it was a stunning day to visit. These Shoveller Ducks were working the pond and had headed into the reeds to our left, all of a sudden I was aware they were in the patch of water just below our window. It ended up being a grab shot as I wasn't expecting them to appear there, but I chose it because they were actually doing something, well the female was and the male was keeping guard. We have snow forecast over night and in the morning so I think we chose the right day to visit.
p.s. The long-tailed tits were on the fat balls when we came home yesterday evening. The first time I've seen them in the garden this winter.
