On Frozen Pond

Still no snow here, but it was very frosty this morning.
However wrapped up well and enjoyed a short walk in the sunshine.
The village pond was frozen, but someone had broken the ice and fed the ducks.
As usual I took several photos, but liked the one of the pintail best.

I had brought some Christmas cake for Tom, but although the gate and greenhouse was open there was no sign of him.
However one of his friends from the village came along, and said he had probably gone home ( which is nearby) and fallen asleep.
So I gave him the cake to give to Tom later.

My sister and husband were supposed to be coming for a meal tonight, but she rang to say she wasn’t feeling well.
The grandchildren have been poorly over Christmas, and she seems to have caught the ‘ bug’.
Hope MrC has a good appetite as there will be some second helpings!

Now waiting for the snow to arrive.
I hope there won’t be too much trouble on the roads as our son and family are traveling back from Cornwall tomorrow.
