Poor William

William is a white-faced heron who has lived around our bay at Lake Tarawera for many many years and one of his favourite perching spots is the end of our jetty where we had attached a  gifted sign whose apostrophe was in the wrong place...hence his "name".
On spotting William as we went down to the shore for our swim around the around the island yesterday, it was quickly obvious tht he has sustained an injury or suchlike to his left foot . Nature will have to heal him...I hope she gets on with it!
