A life lived backwards

Humility

I was so cross yesterday when my pans didn't work on my new hob, that I was going to tell John Lewis what I thought of them!

Went into town, parked here at St James' Park and set off to JL. I never go into town on Saturday but I had a mission!

In Eldon Square, Guide Dogs for the Blind were collecting signatures for a petition and donations. I donated, signed, petted Nuala the guide dog, spoke to the lovely blind man with her and started to think....

I am so lucky! Stuff the hob! Went and bought some new pans which will work on the hob and some doggy treats and went back and said thank you.

That'll teach me! Will still write to JL though! ;-)

News on the digging. They've found the foundations of a lead (as in metal) house which had been demolished sometime in the 19th century. Not quite Roman, but interested the archaeologist.

Hope you're all enjoying this lovely sunshine.....again!!!
