Grange Court, Edinburgh.
The plan was to go cycling in West Lothian today, but I arrived at the start a little late to find only the leader there. Since it was ***** cold and icy, we just had a coffee and bun before heading home. The venerable leader decided we should go to the Haymarket station, and seemed pleased with his choice; I, on the other hand, felt that somewhere warm that served hot coffee would have taken the chill off my poor body a little more effectively
I was stopped at traffic lights in Newington when I noticed this subject for the Wide Angle Wednesday challenge. The theme for the day is “Wintery.” In this part of the World, and at this time of the year, a clear blue sky indicates brass monkey weather; as you are probably aware, this is a reference to the fourth Wise Monkey, often depicted with a smile on his face and the one that is left off the set for the benefit of those of a sensitive disposition.
I took the liberty of Googling “Grange Square, Edinburgh” and was directed to a page headed “Interesting facts about Grange Square, Edinburgh.” They exaggerated, of course, they only offered the one fact: that it is in Scotland – which I don’t find at all interesting since that was where I found it. Next time I’m passing, I may pop through the passageway, there may be a Blip waiting for me.
