Beautiful, but bitter!

As the forecast for today was bright and dry, but cold, we had already decided we would venture out for the day in Southport.

Once we had parked the car, we donned our layers, and boy were we thankful for every one of them......walking up the Pier to the Cafe for a coffee, the wind was bitingly cold.

I took lots of shots but opted for this view across the never ending beach, with the sea way out there somewhere....and if you look very closely you can just make out Blackpool Tower, right of centre on the horizon.

You could be fooled into thinking this is a beautiful summers day, believe me it was not!
We both looked a bit little the marshmallow man from that movie, was it Ghostbusters??!!

We had lunch in one of the arcades off Lord Street, Brocolli soup, with a melted cheese doorstep ;-))

Thanks for all your lovely comments on the shots of our granddaughters yesterday.

We are now nice and warm at home, having had mashed potatoes, turkey with stuffing and gravy for dinner.

Stay warm UK blippers, its going to be chilly for a day or two, but at least its better than grey rain!!!!!
