.....literally “The Red Castle” changes colour according to how the sun strikes it. Built by the Marquis of Bute for his wife. A canny lad was the Marquis. He had his own castle in Cardiff but he had no intention of sharing it with his new wife - so he built another one on the northern outskirts of the city and installed her in it!
