Whole Foods

We spent today wandering around lower Manhattan and lower Broadway. The weather was bright and sunny but very cold. The girls did some shopping and I visited a couple of really good bookshops including one much frequented by David Bowie who lived in this area. In the early afternoon we visited the 9/11 memorial which is surrounded now by massive new skyscrapers. Confusingly they’ve also built a massive new shopping centre just yards away from the memorial which I found a bit odd. We stopped off for some groceries at a posh supermarket on the way home - you don’t see aisles like this back home.
