To the Botanics in glorious sun. Snow on the Pentlands. Mahonia, periwinkle and witch hazel in bloom. The gardens immaculate in their winter plumage.
Low sun on the weeping silver birch, the beech's green bark and the round fat leaves clung still on the toothed oak.
