Between fen and mountains

Bauble city

We set off to Sheffield early in the morning via Snake pass and had to go very carefully as there was snow on the tops. In Sheffield we had coffee with friends from France who spend some of the year in Sheffield. Their house was amazing. The outside was festooned with lights but more impressive were the interior decorations. There were 2000 baubles hanging from nets, two Christmas trees and elaborate Christmas automata and other decorations in all the rooms. Doug told me it takes two weeks for two of them to put up the decorations and they have been collecting Christmas paraphernalia for decades. Then it was off to the football with Laurel. The Sheffield victory was very satisfying. It was a great catch up and we finished with a meal out before setting off back to Lincolnshire.
